Alberta Ballet wanted a campaign that showcased the strength, grace, and artistry of its dancers. The focus was on the performers themselves, their athleticism, emotion, and presence, rather than costumes or traditional ballet imagery. The campaign ran widely across Alberta, appearing in airports, on buses, billboards, trains, and digital platforms.

The challenge was to capture the energy and dynamism of live dance in still images that felt bold, experimental, and contemporary. The visuals needed to convey movement, strength, and emotion while breaking away from conventional ballet aesthetics.

We created a highly experimental photoshoot, dressing dancers in flesh-colored dancewear to emphasize their bodies and using household flour to dramatize motion and explosiveness. Each image captured peak movement, making the dancers’ power and artistry visible both in motion and in stills.

The campaign’s striking imagery was deployed widely across Alberta, positioning Alberta Ballet’s dancers as the undeniable focus and introducing their artistry to a broader audience.
